What you have to do is work on the core issues that led to the split. Take for instance, Rachel and Scott and how he used to take her to plays when they first started going out because she like the arts. After the relationship became more settled the dating leaned more towards Scott’s love of sports. Actually when Rachel called things off, Scott then thought about and realised they had not been to anything arty in a long time.
