Skin Needling Rollers

Stretch Marks Treatment

Microneedling Rollers

Until recently Micro-Needling has been a costly practice requiring frequent trips to see a specialist; however Micro-Needling has now become a frequent part of daily life in many average house holds. The Derma-Roller is a easy to use device with lots of gama sterilized microscopic needles which, when rolled over the skin, carefull part the pores of the top layer of skin and activate the healing process increasing the production of collagen and elastin.

Collagen is important for skin to heal to a cosmetic level

Collagen and elastin are the main aspects in the development of stretch marks, the main source of the occurance of skin problems such as stretch marks and scarring is a lack of collagen and elastin in the skin, when this is replaced the skin returns to its original state. When the skin is damaged, such as a graze, the skin heals itself enough to stay healthy; however the skin doesn’t heal to a satisfactory level.

For acne scars, stretchmarks and facial wrinkles to be reduced, it is essential for the skin to have reason to restart healing itself producing more collagen and elastin, using a Derma-roller achieves this by seperating the pores of the top layer of skin giving the impression of a trauma on the skin and in need of repair. regular Micro-Needling will ensure your skin continues to heal itself to a completely cosmetic level.

Is Micro-Needling the best option?

In compasison to other methods, Skin Needling is far economic and more effective then procedures such as purely using creams because the skin takes in only a minor percentage of creams applied, however when applied after using the Derma-Roller the creams are absorbed much better as the pores are open.

Micro-Needling is used to reduce a range of skin conditions; Stretch marks, Cellulite, Wrinkles, pitted skin, acne scars, surgery scars, scars, crow’s feet etc

Removing Acne Scars

Removal of Acne scars

Acne Scars occur if an infection develops in acne and the skin heals itself enough to remain healthy but leaves pigmented and / or pitted marks on the affected area, they are often very difficult and dear to treat.

There are many over the counter ‘cures’ for acne scars ranging from creams to micro-needling. Creams or skin masks are the most commonly used for treating acne scarring which can (but not always) work but take quite a while for any results to start to show as a large percentage of these creams are not absorbed by the skin. Creams are, therefore, wasted and so are not economical.

Another gadget that can be purchased to treat acne scars is the derma roller. This is a roller for microneedling; you simply roll the derma-roller over the scarred area of skin which opens the pores of your top layer of skin (epidermis) making it believe that it is injured triggering the production of collagen and elastin which resulting in the damaged skin healing itself.

Using the derma roller causes the pores on the skin stay enlarged for up to an hour which is the best time to use creams as they are a lot better absorbed when the pores are open as opposed to when the pores are closed. This reduces the waste in creams and heightens the effectiveness of the derma roller.

There are more extreme methods to get rid of acne scars however these are all expensive and have to be carried out by professionals and then they’re not even guaranteed to work! These include; Micro dermabrasion, laser treatments, chemical peals and also skin needling can be done by a professional more vigorously using a longer needle size and numbing cream.

In my experience in treating acne scars I have found that the most result effective and cost effective treatment is derma rolling at home as it is relatively cheap and as it works by inducing the healing process is the most natural way to heal acne scars.
