How To Wax A Snowboard

If you have the pleasure of owning your own snowboard, you’ll want to make sure it gets the best treatment. One way of doing this is making sure the base is in good condition and waxed well. The reason you wax the board is not to increase grip like on surfboards, it is to make the board more slippery and faster on the slopes. The wax on a snowboard actually soaks into the base when it is applied. The wax actually causes the snow to melt under your board when you’re riding so in essence you ride over a very fine layer of water. here’s the best way to achieve a perfectly waxed board

Take off old wax. Before you put on the new wax, make sure the whole board has been cleaned thoroughly. To do this, use a plastic scraper and use long sweeping movements to take off the wax. You may want to use a hair-dryer to soften the wax and base cleaner which you can get from a snowboards retailer. Avoid using anything metal to do this job however as you risk doing permanent damage to the underside of the board.

Iron the wax on. Find an iron that nobody minds you using and get it to a gentle-wax-melting temperature. More often than not this is the same heat you need to a piece of cotton clothing. When the correct temperature has been reached, drip the wax over the base in lines by holding the wax bar against the iron above the board. Now iron the board directly and move it all around so that every inch has a thin wax coating.

Finishing
. When the wax has had 30 mins to cool down, you need to finish the base. This is done by rubbing down the wax layer with a new cloth and bringing it to a nice shine. Then finally brush over it with a hard-bristled brush and remove and built up areas of wax, before buffing again. Now your ready for some extreme sports

Dryer Vent Cleaning, Repairs and Maintenance

There are plenty of thinkgs you need to think about when it comes to clothes dryer maintenance. Though it is likely something you think about the least, it could be the one cause you the biggest problem. Failure to maintain the dryer vent is the number one cause of clothes dryer related fires.

In order for you to be able to understand the importance of dryer vent cleaning, you first need to realise how to system works.

While the clothes is being dried, the lint is being removed and blown outside through the ventilation ducts. The trap will capture only 60 percent of the lint that comes out of clothes dryer. This part of the clothes dryer should be pulled out, but do it before you dry the load and start removing the lint. But that’s only 60 percent. And what will be with the 40%?

And the part of lint that made it over the trap is on the way to the outdoors, through the duct system that goes from the clothes dryer vent. The duct work is that crinkled-looking hose that comes out of the back of your dryer and leads to a hole in the floor or on the wall. Sometimes you do not see the rest of that path, but it defintely goes to the outside of your home and right into the dryer vent. Because the lin will get heavy and sticky, it won’t make it through the line in entirety, which means it will stuck on the walls. This is something that should be taken care of in an annual cleaning.

When the lint leaves your clothes dryer, her final stop is the dryer ventilation. This is a flapper vent top that is at the end of the line outside. This is where all that hot air is finally set free. As lint continues to build up, this could be a major fire hazard, not to mention it will make things much harder for your clothes dryer to do its job.

How To Remove Bubbles From Epoxy Floors

It is not so rare to see bubbles appear on epoxy coating. Bubbles are usually observed to be the size of a pinhead or more than an inch in diameter. They are found in the entire floor or as a group. “Out gasing” phenomenon is what usually causes this. And it happens when the epoxy begins to dry up. The rise in temperature is the reason for the heating of the air in the concrete making it expand and form bubbles.

Use application primer as a tool that can help to prevent bubbles. Make sure that you do not apply epoxy coating where there is direct sunlight and it would be good to use a drill with slower speed to mix the coating.

Use medium roller if you already decided to use one. Use gentle and slow motions when you are applying your epoxy paint. Our epoxy garage paint will have less bubbles with this.

You can use rotary scrubber ans some sandpaper to remove all those bubbles on your epoxy floor. First roughen the bubbled area with the sandpaper. Then scrupulously clean the dust. Then with a rag wipe the surface area with a strong solvent. Apply another coating of epoxy when you are finished with this. Fisheyes is another type of bubbles that can occur. They are usually caused by residual silicon on the surface.

You can easily clean this with scrubbing the problematic area with a sandpaper. After this, scrupulously clean the area with a rag dipped in solvent. Now you can apply that epoxy coating you prepared for the session.

If there are bubbles in the entire epoxy flooring area then shot blasting or sand blasting may be considered. You will need to sand blast the entire area of epoxy coating first. Use acid to clean the entire area where problem appeared. In case you are working on a very small area, you can isolate it. You will need to repair the area first and the you will have to make a new coating.

Another cause of formation of bubbles in epoxy garage flooring is excessive moisture. You can chech this by breaking one of the blisters and see is there any moisture there.
