Stress control the easy way.
Count to 10.
Mother tells her children thisand is works if they are angry.
Next time you feel stressed or recognise the early signs of it, count to ten. It does not matter if you do it loudly or quietly.
Sometimes this is all you need for simple stress or if you recognise it early.
Many prefer to count down instead and as they count down to zero, it feels as if their stress is slowly going down.
Take a deep breath.
Take a long slow deep breath. Through your nostrils slowly breathe in and fill your lungs completely. Exhale through your mouth slowly after holding your breath to the count of four.
Repeat a few times and as your breathing becomes slower, a calm and relaxed feeing takes over. Like counting, this is a quick and easy stress controller.
In addition, as you breathe in and hold your breath, you create a picture in your mind of all stress slowly diffusing into your lungs and when you breathe out, you are slowly expelling the stress leaving you more relaxed and calm.
You can also use a stress relief squeez ball.
Get up and walk about.
This is a good way to gain stress relief quickly.
If what you are doing is becoming very stressful, take a break, just walk away from it. I do not mean walk away from it for good. You are removing the problem temporarily. It gives you time to come to grips with is as you calm down.
By doing this you are removing a stressful problem from the forefront of your mind and allow your Subconscious Mind to find solution options. The eponymous Morgan Stanley, when stuck with a problem and no solution, would suddenly drop what he was doing and play a game of solitaire. After a while several ideas come forwards in his mind.
You can go for a walk especially in the park. There is something relaxing when you are near to nature. You tend to synchronise with the frequency of earth. As your brainwave level slows down you enjoy tranquillity and peace. You become relaxed and calm. If you are home, clean the house. Get the vacuum cleaner out. From your mind you are removing the problem. You will be surprised how different you feel about your task in front of your.
In addition exercise relieves stress.
It is recognised that exercise reduces stress.
Write a Journal or talk to someone.
This is a good stress buster. Talking to someone is in a way sharing your problem. If that someone is experienced in your field, you may get some invaluable tips. A wider approach to your problem develops. It may feel, by sharing your problem, you are no longer isolated. You are not alone.
There is no better stress buster than a simple thought or idea in your mind that will lead to the solution to your problem. Suddenly you become energised and focussed because you can now see success as the only outcome. Your stress will changes to the desired stress that produces maximum efficiency.
Writing a journal is good for relieving stress. It highlights the specific items that stress you. Transferring it into words on paper means you can either keep or discard. This is an outlet for stress. If you have no one to talk to or you are alone with a stressful problem, write it down in your stress journal. Ink on paper is the next best thing.

Stress and Fight or Fright Reaction
Lets look at three different scenarios.
Recession is making life difficult for a sales rep. The last three months sales were disastrous. He is about to meet a big and important new client who could be his saviour. The ouicome will decide whether he still has a job or not.
A man is madly and desperately in love with this attractive and popular woman. He cannot see a future without her but she is popular an other men are attracted to her. He has a ring, the red roses lie by the door and table carefully set for two. Any moment she will knock on the door and he will propose to her and he does not know whether she will say yes or no.
A woman walking home alone late at night. The streets are poorly lit. The sound of footsteps ahead of her make her uneasy. A group of people wearing hoodies is coming towards her. Behind her she now hear more footsteps. Turning around, she sees some young people walking towards her.
In all three situations a person becomes very alert and focussed even though potential danger is only in one of these scenarios. This is the fight and fright reaction.
The fight or fright reaction protect us from life threatening dangers. In this reaction, the brain triggers the release of the hormones adrenaline, noradrenaline and cortisone. The remarkable changes that occur are caused by these hormones.
The breathing becomes faster and deeper, the heart speeds up, the pupils dilate, the mouth becomes dry, the skin becomes cold and clammy and hairs on the back of the neck stand up.
You may have an urge to urinate, open your bowels or vomit. This is the brain trying to make you lighter and move faster during ‘flight’.
These changes are preparing the body for action. You become alert and aware. All your senses are sharpened. Your hearing, sense of smell and your sight are all sharpened. Your body is primed and ready to go.
Your heart, beating faster pumps extra blood to the brain and the muscles. By breathing faster and deeper, more oxygen is transported by the blood to the muscles and brain. In addition blood is temporarily diverted from other vital organs such as the gut, the kidneys and the immune system to enable more blood to the muscles.
Although the fight and fright reaction is primeval and developed when early humans had to confront huge and dangerous reptiles and mammals, it is still present today. Unfortunately the brain cannot differentiate between real and percieved dangers or threats. The reaction is the same.
In all three scenarios above, the fight or fright reaction is triggered.
Panic attacks are severe episodes of the fight or fright reaction and, during an attack, to the individual the threat or danger is very real. Rationality suddenly disappear and there is no where to run to or no one to fight.
In stress, the fight or flight reaction is triggered even thought there is no threat to our lives and can harm the body. If persistent, it can cause diseases.
Understanding how the fight or fright reaction is triggered in stress will help you make some sense about the symptoms of stress you experience with stress.
STOP THE PANIC ATTACKS
Panic, Anxiety – Fear?
Are you feeling scared under pressure? Is there a lot of stress in your life? Do you feel threatened whenever a new event in your life presents itself? Do you feel panic and anxiety just walking out your door each morning?
Our family has lived through this until we found Panic Away
Constant worry and anxiety, your stomach aches, you get dizzy and can’t breathe. Every muscle in your body reacts to anxiety and eventually you have a panic attack. You are always tired, but can’t sleep.
Anxiety causes panic which makes it hard to concentrate and keeps you tense and jumpy. You are always thinking the worst thing is going to happen if you go around that corner.
Fear, the definition of fear is:
- A feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger. Again we hear the word anxiety.
-A state or condition marked by this feeling
-A reason for dread or apprehension
-To be uneasy or apprehensive
Anxiety attacks, known as panic attacks in health circles, are periods of intense panic or fear. One minute you are fine, the next minute you could have an anxiety attack completely without warning.
Anxiety attacks usually last about ten minutes, and they seldom last more than a half hour. But during that little bit of time, that can feel like eternity, the fear can be so intense that you feel as if you’re about to die or totally lose control. The physical symptoms are themselves so scary that you believe you are having a heart attack. After an anxiety attack is over, there is always the fear of when will I have the next one, particularly in a public place where help isn’t available or you can’t easily get away.

Relax Your Muscles With Convenient Massagers
Apart from the good experience and feeling they provide, massages help one to derive other healthy benefits too. A massage leads to a better circulation of blood and may help to increase the proportion of red cells in the body. And mobile massagers can help!
Just imagine the pleasure of an enjoyable massage at the end of a hard day’s work!. The most comfortable way of reducing stress at home is thru a personal hand held massager. These massagers are helpful in reducing muscular pain too. Regular massaging helps you to have a healthier body and mind, thus leading to an improved thinking. Massagers are known to reduce tension, stress and blood pressure.
Hand Held Massager can promote better sleep. If you remain uncomfortable in sleep because of tired muscles or mind, you will feel relaxed on using a massager. When you are calm and relaxed you are able to sleep better. When I have sufficient sleep on a regular basis, I notice that I am in less pain, my mood is enhanced, and generally, I have a much better day.
It’ll be a great idea to receive or buy a neck massager as a gift at any occasion. It’s a durable and practical device that can be used anytime indoors to relieve stress, fatigue, and pain.
You may not have realized it, but continued prolonged hours of working in front a computer at office causes pain in the neck. Generally long hours of working before the tilted computer monitor at your office causes your neck to strain. However, for most people, there are few solutions to this problem. Though employers may offer to buy you a suitable chair to play down that pain, it is almost impossible to get rid of it totally. Even massager chair can’t help here.
You have three options for getting rid of that pain in the neck. The first would naturally be to expect your spouse or roommate to massage your neck. Of course this may work once in a while, but to expect it to go on repeatedly, especially at the time you need it most, will be a bit too much. Else, you may be required to regularly visit a massage therapist. This is a wonderful option, but the cost can be difficult for many to handle. Keep in mind that the services of a professional therapist don’t come cheap at $ 40-80 per hour!.
Understanding a Child’s Fears and Worries
As a parent it is important that we understand what potential problems our child has. It goes without saying that many children have various anxieties and worries; I know that I certainly had quite a few as I was growing up. In this article, I write about the types of fears that this might be and about how we can help our children to cope and to get through life in the best possible and stress-free way.
I am by now a child social worker and what I write within this article is just my own personal opinion. I actually work within the stammering therapy industry; I am also involved with a DVD authoring company and with a group of cost reduction consultants.
Many children are able to pick up on what their parents are worrying about. They may hear arguments about money and can then start to worry themselves about the financial situation their family may be in. I am a parent myself and try where possible to only discuss serious issues with my partner when the children are out or are asleep. If I believe that one of my children has overheard a conversation which I would have rather they hadn’t, I then talk to them to attempt to reassure them that everything is OK.
Children may also worry that their parents may break up and that they will end up living apart. They will no doubt hear that this has happened to their friends and may wonder and stress about how their lives would change if this happened to them.
My children have told me that they worry and that they fear that one of their parents may die in the near future. It is quite difficult to explain to them that this is unlikely to happen as it obviously could. I try and laugh it off which may not be the best policy, by stating that I am still very young and that I have no plans to leave this planet in the near future. I explain to them the age that the average male will live to in our country and that normally, I hope, makes them feel better.
Another form of stress and anxiety for many children, is of course, attending school. Will they be able to cope and understand the work? Will they be able to obtain a good examination mark and a good report? Will they be able to make their parents proud of them? I have told my own children not to worry about these issues and to just try their best.
Socialising and meeting friends can also bring its own tensions. I am sure that we all remember our own childhoods and the fact that we regularly break friends but that we normally, eventually, make up again. It can be quite stressful when friends have a disagreement or argument. When this happens to my children, I make a point of saying that it has been the fourth time in a month that you and Amy as an example, have had a falling out. Your sure to make friends again in the near future.
As children get a bit older there is then the challenge of meeting a member of the opposite sex. We all know the problems and strains that this can bring. At this time I think it is just a matter of being there for your children and getting them through these difficult years the best and easiest way possible.
Hypnotherapy is an effective treatment of stress.
There is no doubt that hypnosis is a very effective stress treatment of stress. When an individual feels he does not have the resources to cope with a task he is confronted with stress develops. Hypnosis works by changing belief, preception and capability so the subject no longer feels he is no longer incapable.
Dr. Lipton said that up to 90% of diseases are directly due to stress. Vital organs are straved of nutrients and oxygen by persistent stress. This is fine on occasions but when it becomes persistent, diseases are likely.
It is not the situation you confront that is the cause of stress but by the way you perceive this situation and whether you feel you have the power in you to deal with it. hypnotherapyworks remarkably well in stress because it alters your belief, perception and expectation.
Following hypnosis treatment, things that trigger extreme stress are converted to easy tasks because, you now know that you have the resources to successfully carry out anything you are faced with little effort on your part.
During hypnosis, you become deeply relaxed and drop down to brainwave level theta. At theta brainwave level, the barriers that block unwanted information from reaching the Subconscious Mind, ease their tight grip and the hypnotherapist can alter attitude, belief and expectation.
The safety and power of hypnosis as a stress and anxiety is undeniable. Another recommended stress treatment is meditation. It is, however, very difficult to see how a stressed person can relax, and if he or she cannot relax, meditation becomes very difficult. Best practice is to use hypnosis in the first instance and use meditation for the long term and overall life enhancement.
Lets face it. Stress is an unpleasant thing. It takes your libido away. It steals enjoyment out of your life. Anger, rage, anxiety and depression are symptoms you can develop. Creativity lessens during stress and unnecessary mistakes increase.
Worse of all, because it triggers the fight or flight reaction, it shuts off vital nutrients to some organs of the body and stimulating the heart. Researchers believe this is the reason it is the underlying cause for 90% of diseases. In industry there are millions of days a year lost through stress and the cost to the health providers is enormous.
Attitude to stress can be changed by hypnosis and it is not just a treatment for your present stress but it gives you belief and coping skills to control stress in the long term.
In a hypnotic session, the hypnotist will give you very powerful and effective post hypnotic suggestions not just on how to cope with your current situation but generally on all aspects of your life. He is likely to say, “You are calm and relaxed. You will confront any situation calmly and know that if it can be done, you are very capable and competent to do it.” Effective post hypnotic suggestion will help you to approach your next task with the attitude, “What is fast and best way of doing this?” rather than, “This task is beyond me.”
So have hypnotherapy rather than drugs, counselling, CBT or psychotherapy for safe and outstanding results of all your stress problems. Bear in mind that hypnosis is simply a state of heightened awareness where your right brain becomes very alert. It does not analyse or filters like the left brain. The Subconscious Mind simply accepts positive suggestions by the hypnotist while you remain in a calm relaxed altered sleep.
Stress Management Tips And Tricks That Work
Now I am sure that we would all admit to becoming a little stressed from time to time. It is knowing what to do about it which is the problem for most of us. I am the type of person who used to stress about the smallest of things, this stress affected my sleep, my skin and my work life. I have now learnt and discovered ways to reduce the stress. I am going to write about these ways in this article.
I have had a good chat with myself during recent times, having to admit various weaknesses if you like; one of which was my overall attitude to life. I basically used to think in a very negative way, I did not seem to really enjoy life and I also felt that I was rather an unlucky person. In reality I was actually fine but as you may be able to tell I would feel sorry for myself.
I am now able to think in a far more positive light and this has helped me no end.
Meditation has also helped me to think in a more upbeat manner. The main area where I find meditation helps is to enable my mind to think in a much clearer manner.
Another successful stress reduction strategy is too start to exercise on a regular basis. This is good for many other reasons as well as stress including aiding fitness and weight loss. I have a pet dog now and taking it for around six walks a day helps to to keep fit and to also get out of the house when things start to get a bit stressed.
All of these things have helped me in many ways including to overcome stammering; this was a problem that I had to endure for eighteen years of my life. At the time, before the internet was born, it was quite difficult to receive credible stammering advice, which just added to the overall frustration.
I am now able to live a happy, confident, fluent life and am working as a well known web promotion specialist.
